スクリプトとリスニングのポイント解説
どうでしょうか？いくつか聞き取りが難しい箇所があったかと思います（太字にしています）。特に、男性の発言部分、この方はしゃべりのプロではないので、とても早口で不明瞭な部分がありますね。
This device is going to not only help save you, but we can also communicate through the public announcements P.A. system that you’re not alone, help is on the way.
※P.A. system というのは、公衆 (public) に大音量で演説 (address) を伝えるという意味が言葉の由来です。 一般的には放送設備など、電気的に拡声を行う装置全般を指します。ドローンを溺れている人に対するアナウンス装置としても使い、いま助けが行くから頑張れと伝えるということですね。
次に、女性のレポーターの発言。
（前略）more than 30 specialized drones are now flying over New York City’s beaches. Each one has thermal imaging capabilities and carries a deployable float which can be dropped to a person in the water.
※thermal imaging capabilitiesが難しかったのではないでしょうか？これは、熱を検出できる特別なカメラのようなもので、赤外線カメラと訳されたりもします。ドローンが海の中で溺れている人を検知するのに体熱を手掛かりにするということですね。
それから、a deployable float ですね。Deployableは日本語にするのが難しいのですが、英英辞典での定義は以下です。”able to be moved to a place where they can be used when they are needed”、つまり、溺れている人のところにピンポイントでfloat（浮き）を落とすということです。
次にまた男性の台詞。
This device opens up as soon as it makes contact with the water, it would open up into a flotation device about 4ft.
※as soon as it makes contact with the water が聞き取りにくかった人が多いのではないでしょうか？ここ、とても早口でしたね。水に触れるとすぐに開く、ということですね。その後は、その具体的な説明、浮きはだいたい4フィート、1.2メートルぐらいのサイズに広がるということです。
女性が続けます。
The NYPD stresses these drones are not a replacement for lifeguards, but rather an extra set of eyes on beaches this summer. （中略）And police are also hoping the drone’s camera system can spot any nearby sharks in these ocean waters.
※ドローンはライフガードにとって代わるものではなく、むしろ、ビーチの追加の見張りのようなものということです。extra set of eyesも難しかったと思います。その後、文章の途中でちょっと切れている部分がありますね。また、nearby の後、波の音がかぶっておりやや不明瞭で、shoresにも聞こえますが、文脈からも sharks（サメ）ですね。
そして最後に男性アンカーがスタジオから一言。

※ここでのassignmentは担当業務、つまり、いい仕事ゲットしたね（＝美しいビーチでの取材）という意味ですね^^
